Gland Packing

Gland packing is a reliable sealing solution that prevents leaks in pumps and valves by using compressed braided materials. It’s cost-effective, easy to maintain, and essential for industries like petrochemical, marine, and manufacturing.

1525/1525 L

1525 products are gland packing made by braiding a blend of aramid fiber and inorganic synthetic fiber with PTFE dispersion and then braiding them into angular cross sections.
As for the 1525L, it is a specially lubricated product with a softer finish and excellent sealing properties.

5010

5010 products are gland packing which are braided at a cross-sectional angle, following treatment with special lubricant carbon fibres. The fiber strength is high and it has excellent heat resistance and comfort.

5020

The 5020 is a high-performance gland packing made by treating carbon fiber with PTFE dispersion and a specialized lubricant, then braiding it into a square cross-section. It offers excellent shaft conformability, effective sealing even under light compression, and strong chemical resistance—making it ideal for handling a wide range of fluids.

5500

The 5500 is a gland packing made from carbonized fiber, treated with PTFE dispersion and a specialized lubricant, then braided into a durable square cross-section. Its flexible construction minimizes shaft wear, ensuring safe and reliable use. Cost-effective and versatile, it is well-suited for general-purpose pump applications.

6500/6500 L

The 6500 series gland packing is braided at a diagonal cross-section using 100% pure PTFE material, enhanced with dispersed PTFE and extended PTFE fibers. This composition offers exceptional chemical resistance and long-term durability. Additionally, its flexible structure ensures excellent conformability to the shaft, providing a secure seal with minimal wear.

6250

The 6520 gland packing is constructed from expanded PTFE fiber infused with graphite and a specialized lubricant, braided into a square cross-section. This unique combination offers excellent chemical resistance and superior thermal conductivity. Its inherent flexibility ensures a precise fit around the shaft, making it easy to install and ideal for long-term, reliable use.

6570

The 6570 product is a gland packing made of graphite, PTFE fiber containing a special lubricant, and aramid fiber braided into a square cross section. The braided structure makes the corners of the gland packing aramid fiber, which prevents the packing from protruding. It can be used in applications with even higher pressure and load than the 6520 product.

7500

The 7500 gland packing is crafted from aramid fiber treated with PTFE dispersion and a specialized lubricant, then braided into a square cross-section. Known for its exceptional durability and abrasion resistance, it is ideal for handling slurries and high-viscosity fluids with reliable, long-term performance.

8400/8405

This is a primary valve seal packing, formed by molding and compressing Macfoil (expanded graphite) into a baumkuchen-style ring. Additionally, the 8405 variant—reinforced with metal mesh—is available for applications where easier removal during valve maintenance is required.

8510

The 8510 is a gland packing braided from MacFoil (expanded graphite) yarn into a square cross-section. Unlike conventional expanded graphite packings, it contains no metal wire reinforcement—significantly reducing shaft wear. Its soft construction makes it easy to cut and install on-site, while the inherent properties of MacFoil provide excellent performance under high temperatures and high peripheral speeds.

8515(TA-Luft VDI 2440 & API 622 2nd certified)

This advanced gland packing is engineered by braiding PTFE-film-infused PAT yarn around an outer sheath of MacFoil (expanded graphite) in an angular cross-section. The PTFE film covering significantly reduces thermal expansion during heat cycles, minimizes stress relaxation caused by thermal contraction, and prevents extrusion into clearance gaps—common challenges in traditional PTFE-based packings.

8530(TA-Luft VDI 2440 certified)

This gland packing is braided with Inconel® wire-reinforced yarn over a MacFoil (expanded graphite) core, then treated with a special heat-resistant impregnation. The combination of metal reinforcement and impregnation provides excellent resistance to heat, pressure, and chemicals, along with superior sealing performance. Its easy removal during maintenance and proven reliability make it ideal for high-pressure valves in thermal power plants and similar demanding environments.

8535

This gland packing combines a metal-reinforced MacFoil (expanded graphite) core with PTFE film yarn braided into a square cross-section. The PTFE outer sheath offers excellent sliding performance, pressure resistance, and easy maintenance. Unlike conventional graphite packings, it delivers long-term stable sealing and low-friction operation through mechanical PTFE film integration.
